One Game Per Week at STUST

Day 2 - 09:30 - 10:30
Language: English (accompanied with Mandarin/Chinese subtitles.)

Ramiro Corbetta moved from New York City to Tainan for the spring of 2021 to teach game design at 南臺科技大學 through a Fulbright Senior Scholar fellowship. In this talk he will share his experiences teaching a class where students made one solo game per week for an entire semester. He will be joined by his students 張洧溱 (Evelyn), 石加樂 (Joy), 呂沅恩 (Ayumi), and 蔡旨軒 (Gibson Choy), who will show some of their projects and describe what they learned from this intense prototyping experiment. (The core idea for this class is based on the “Game a Week” model of game education presented by Douglas Wilson and Bennett Foddy.)

This talk is for game educators and game developers who are interested in prototyping and creativity. I hope to show the value of rapid prototyping for both students and professional game developers.
